At what age should we start using technology in the classroom? Technology is changing our future generations lives and they will for sure need to be able to know how to use them. We are shown technology from the start of school basically. We need to know how to use them because we use it for almost everything as we grow older. I didn't start using technology until about 5th grade when we used projectors. Over the years, it increased and upgraded tremendously. There's no reason to be afraid of integrating it. With the right control, it could be such a fun way to learn in the classroom! You can really do so much with it nowadays. Especially at a young age, you can do such fun things using technology. I have provided a link of ideas you can do to integrate technology in classrooms and make it beneficial, fun yet educational!

Why use a Blog for Elementary School Students?
I'm sure there are a lot of questions as to why and how Elementary students would find a blog useful? Blogs can be really useful to do homework over. With a blog, I can post homework assignments and students can complete and turn it in the next day or they can just send it to me publicly over the blog. That way, other students will also be able to read there responses and give feedback on it as well. Of course we will be doing most of the work in class, but this just allows for better communicating between all three parties. Parents also will be able to get a better idea of what was covered in class that day and be able to contact me if needed with any questions. I can also post educational videos for students to watch and take a small quiz over, or also have them play an educational game that relates to what we learned in the classroom that day.
For example, watch this video and answer these questions for me.

1. Which one was the hour hand?
2. If the hour hand is in between both the 11 and 12, what hour is it?
3. What are the increments on a clock?
First Time Blogging!
Welcome to my blog!
I am Ashley Phillips or Miss Phillips. I will be posting beneficial items on here that will be helpful for parents and young students to talk about or ask questions about if needed. First thing, some things about me! I am attending Kent State University and the major I am studying is Early Childhood Education. I absolutely love being around children. I've always loved helping people and I love teaching children new topics on things they never knew about. The purpose for this blog is for students and parents to be able to contact me either on here with any questions or also on my email. This will be a more informal way to contact me, but I will check it several times a day! I hope you enjoy it! My email is aphill71@kent.edu :-)
